Joy Reservoir

I’ve recently learned that everyone has a 'joy reservoir'.

Laid down in our earliest months, it’s filled by the delight on our parents’ faces.

And the best part is that this ‘joy reservoir’ isn’t static – It’s located in the one part of our brain that continues to grow throughout our lives, as we experience the love of others.

When our joy reservoir is well built and filled, we are resilient and strong. Able to pass on joy to others - and way less prone to depression and sadness.

Have you thought how important it is our children not only know the joy of human love but also that they are the sparkle in the eye of their heavenly Father? –

As they live under the smile of His approval, they will have full joy reservoirs, growing strong in character and grace for others.
